ShuggaShugga 1.3 (and 1.4B) for iPhone

ShuggaShugga is a simple yet highly customizable iPhone app that announces your latest blood glucose data found in your Health data. Primarily built as a companion for Loop.app, it also serves those who have their live blood glucose values written to Health by other means. It also caters to those who manually enter their BG values into Health app, though in a limited capacity.
Current flavor of the app is free for all iPhone (iOS 16 +) users.

Managing blood sugar around the clock is a daunting task for many. Our aim with the new button is to offer users a brief respite and encouragement during their challenging days.
Drawing inspiration from concepts like the “Easy Buttons” (?) and Stuart Smalley’s “Daily Affirmations” (?), the “Kiyoshi” button, when pressed, plays a reassuring chorus of “You got this.”

iMessage Stickers
ShuggaShugga now has some basic iMessage stickers!
You can access them directly in Messages.app on your phone and choosing the app icon.

You can download the public beta from here: (Not yet)
This version contains a background feature not available from the versions you can download from the AppStore.
When “Background” is enabled by you in the settings, it will attempt to “shugga” whenever the operating system allows the app to announce it while the app is in the background.
You can set the minimum interval this is allowed to happen as well – in case the operating system is generous that moment.
